Collaboration with Fraîcheur de Paris

Fraîcheur de Paris is a major district cooling network operator. The company is dedicated to the generation, transmission, storage, and distribution of cooling energy for the city of Paris and aims to improve energy efficiency on a daily basis. The cooling network operator’s goal is to ensure sustainable and efficient cooling as part of a collective approach to decarbonization and climate change adaptation. Fraîcheur de Paris manages the cooling needs of a network that spans the entire French capital, including famous landmarks such as the Louvre Museum, the Palais de Tokyo, and the National Assembly, as well as the RATP (Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens), the operator of Paris’s public transportation system. Its expertise is exported to many countries around the world, including the Middle East, where Fraîcheur de Paris has been commissioned to implement its technology and expertise.

As part of the upgrade of the heat meters and heat cost allocators in its networks, Fraîcheur de Paris also sought to improve its energy efficiency. The key priority for the chilled water network operator was that the meters should serve as the central point for billing the various locations within the network. To implement this project, Fraîcheur de Paris turned to our partner Somesca in France. As part of this collaboration, INTEGRA Metering was able to meet Fraîcheur de Paris’s requirements by supplying and installing our CALEC® ST III heat energy meter in combination with our AMFLO® MAG Pro flow meters. The CALEC® ST III is capable of reading data from all types of cooling and heating networks. This makes it the perfect solution for local and district heating, local and district cooling, as well as building services. Thanks to its various communication interfaces and the ability to expand it modularly, our CALEC® ST III is also ideally suited for any smart metering network.

INTEGRA Metering not only successfully installed the meters and flow meters in the Fraîcheur de Paris network, but the district cooling operator was also able to improve the energy efficiency of its system.
