Fraîcheur de Paris is a major provider in the field of cooling and district heating networks. The company is dedicated to the production, transport, storage, and distribution of cooling energy for the city of Paris, and aims to increase energy efficiency on a daily basis. The goal of the cooling network operator is to provide sustainable and efficient cooling, as part of a joint approach to decarbonisation and adaptation to climate change. Fraîcheur de Paris manages the cooling requirements of a network stretching over the entire French capital, including renowned landmarks such as the Louvre Museum, the Palais de Tokyo and the National Assembly, as well as the RATP (Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens), the public transport operator for the city of Paris. As such, their expertise is being exported in many countries around the world, including in the Middle East where Fraîcheur de Paris has been asked to implement their technology and know-how. 

As part of the replacement of its network’s thermal energy calculators and meters, Fraîcheur de Paris wanted also to improve its energy efficiency. The focus for the cooling network operator was that the calculators would need to build the main point for billing to the different locations within the network. In order to realise this project, Fraîcheur de Paris approached our partner Somesca based in France. During this collaboration, INTEGRA Metering was able to meet the needs of Fraîcheur de Paris by delivering and installing our CALEC® ST III thermal energy calculator in combination with our AMFLO® MAG Pro flow meters. The CALEC® ST III is capable of reading data from all types of cooling and heating networks. Therefore, it is the perfect solution for local and district heating, local and district cooling, as well as energy building management. Our CALEC® ST III is also the perfect fit for any smart metering network due to its various communication interfaces and the possibility of expanding it modularly. 

Not only did INTEGRA Metering successfully install the calculators and flow meters in Fraîcheur de Paris’ network, but also the cooling network operator was able to improve energy efficiency in its system.
