INTEGRA Metering is pleased to announce its successful participation to the ewb tender for the replacement of water meters throughout the city of Bern. The energy supplier plans to modernise the existing meters in its water network and has chosen INTEGRA Metering as its partner for this project.
ewb is a major Swiss energy provider that supplies the city of Bern with electricity, natural gas, district heating and water. One of its many objectives is to optimise its infrastructure and ensure security of supply for its customers.
In this regard, ewb launched a public tender in spring 2024 in order to update its water network. The energy supplier was looking for a reliable partner who could not only supply the necessary water meters, but also offer an innovative solution for data collection. The tender was finalised in June 2024 and INTEGRA Metering was awarded the contract for the delivery of 8’000 smart water meters over the next five years.
INTEGRA Metering specialises in the development and provision of solutions for smart metering systems around the world. In its project with ewb the company will provide the TOPAS® ESKR 2 and TOPAS® ESKM 2 water meters. These solutions offer high precision, reliability and low maintenance. At ewb’s request, the smart meters will need to feature specific requirements: radio solution with manual activation, long warranty period and personalised meters.
Additionally, INTEGRA Metering will supply its AMBILL® derago software for data collection. AMBILL® derago is a powerful and flexible software solution that will simplify the evaluation and analysis of meter data across the city’s network.
“We at INTEGRA Metering are proud to support ewb in their endeavor to improve their efficiency and their resource management,” says Alain Roth, VP Sales Switzerland at INTEGRA Metering. “Thanks to our advanced systems, ewb will be able to monitor its network against leaks and inefficiencies, and quickly address emerging irregularities. We look forward to our partnership with ewb and to a good cooperation throughout this joint project.”
